    For this position, applicants are required to be enrolled in a school or educational institution.

    The Process

    Our selection process is designed to be seamless and remote, prioritizing your safety and convenience. From the moment you submit your application to your first day at work, we’ll provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into your new role.

Responsibilities

    1. Kitchen Intern

    Culinary Service: Assist the kitchen brigade with food preparation (mise en place), support line cooks during service, and ensure dishes meet quality standards before leaving the pass.

    Station Stocking: Replenish ingredients on the cooking line, ensuring all food items are fresh, correctly labeled, and rotated according to FIFO (First In, First Out).

    Order Operations: Learn to read and call out order tickets (or KDS screens), assist with plating timelines, and ensure accurate portion control.

    Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a sanitized, organized, and safe work environment, including cleaning surfaces, washing tools, and adhering to strict health code regulations.

    Inventory Management: Assist with receiving food deliveries, organizing the walk-in coolers and dry storage, and conducting daily waste logs.

    Product Knowledge: Memorize menu recipes, cooking techniques, and allergen lists to ensure food safety and consistency.

    Internship Learning Outcomes

    By the end of this internship, you will understand the hierarchy of a professional kitchen (Brigade System), master basic knife skills and food safety protocols (HACCP), and have hands-on experience running a station during peak service hours.

    2. Front of House Intern

    Guest Service: Welcome guests warmly, manage seating arrangements, answer dining inquiries, and provide a hospitable experience from arrival to departure.

    Table & Station Stocking: Reset tables with precise settings (cutlery, glassware) and replenish service stations with linens, condiments, and necessary tools.

    POS Operations: Operate the Point of Sale system, input customer orders accurately to the kitchen, and process payments or split bills efficiently.

    Floor Maintenance: Maintain a pristine dining atmosphere, including managing spills, keeping aisles clear, and checking restroom cleanliness regularly.

    Inventory Management: Assist with counting front-of-house stock (beverages, coffee supplies, napkins) and organizing the service bar and storage areas.

    Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about daily specials, wine pairings, and ingredient sources to confidently make recommendations to guests.

    Internship Learning Outcomes

    By the end of this internship, you will develop strong conflict resolution and communication skills, understand the flow of service and table management, and gain proficiency in POS software and cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

    • Be enrolled in a relevant school or course during the internship
    • Strong knowledge of customer service and hygiene regulations
    • English on a B2 level
    • European citizenship or a Dutch Resident Permit
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Enthusiasm and attention to detail
    • Flexibility and resilience in high-volume environments
